Cybersecurity Management Session: Award Ceremony

Room: R309A

Time: 13:00 to 15:00, 26 October 2025

Organizer: Rostelecom-Solar (Solar Security) – MFA Russia

Side Event Description: The adoption of UN Convention against Cybercrime marks an important step towards improving global efforts in preventing and combating cybercrime.

The text of the Convention rightfully attaches great significance to the need to counter criminal activities such as: illegal access and interference with ICT systems, illegal interception and interference with electronic data and many others. Such crimes are frequently committed by infringing cybersecurity measures and often exploiting the lack of skills and coordination of cybersecurity professionals. The proposed side-event is aimed at strengthening these skills and providing a learning experience for delegations present at the Signing Ceremony and High-level Conference. Session will be organized by the Russian Delegation and is developed by country’s leading cybersecurity experts tasked with protecting the most attacked digital infrastructure.

In this discussion-based simulation executives and specialists involved in countering cybercrime will take on the role of the cybersecurity team of a major international corporation targeted by a complex multi-stage cyberattack. During simulation participants will navigate 10 stages featuring real-world malware tactics and most up-to-date techniques used by cybercriminals. Each stage includes multiple-choice questions with four answer options, following a consistent format throughout the session. Participants receive expert explanations and practical insights throughout the simulation, ensuring that the event is a valuable learning experience. This approach enhances both knowledge and skills, equipping attendees with actionable understanding of modern cyber threats and defenses.

There will be no winners and losers as a result of the session. All participants will be able to test their organizational response to cyber incidents, evaluate the effectiveness of their incident management, check readiness to respond to real cybercrimes.

Expected Participants: 36-70 people
