- Description: This side event will demonstrate the central role of capacity building in fostering cyber resilience and enabling effective implementation of the Hanoi Convention. It will also highlight how combating cybercrime strengthens trust in the digital economy and supports broader development objectives.
Specific aims:
- – Highlight the importance of capacity building in the effective operationalization of the Hanoi Convention, especially for developing countries.
– Showcase the World Bank’s operational initiatives, including the Asia Pacific Cybercrime Hub – a partnership with the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise and the Korean Supreme Prosecutor’s Office.
– Facilitate dialogue among senior representatives from international organizations and member states on best practices, challenges, and opportunities for strengthening cybercrime capacity.
