Side Event Description: The Convention signature ceremony presents a pivotal opportunity to frame the course for implementation by allowing delegations to outline national pathways and shape priorities for the inaugural Conference of States Parties This process will serve to identify areas for strengthened international collaboration and targeted capacity building based on national contexts and priorities. The session will provide space to highlight such needs and share workable approaches that can be adapted to different legal systems and operational settings. To support this process, this High-Level Dialogue will convene Ministers and ambassadors and senior representatives to share perspectives on immediate priorities, highlight where cooperation with stakeholders, service providers, and international partners can assist implementation, and underline how capacity building can help embed safeguards and build trust across jurisdictions ahead of the first meeting of the Conference of State Parties.
